B737-900 Continental Airlines Model
Airplane: A Beautiful Addition to Your Collection
Unbeatable museum quality best describes our handcrafted model
airplanes just like the real B737-900 Continental Airlines. After
passing through the hands of master craftsmen, the parts are sanded
and primed many times. Talented artists then paint on the intricate
details with great accuracy. A final coat of clear lacquer protects
the aircraft and gives it a glossy finish. Our B737-900
Continental Airlines model airplane exhibits an unmatched
quality and intricate design to obtain the exact look of the actual
Continental planes.
The B737-900 Continental Airlines model airplane comes with a
handsome mahogany-based chrome pedestal, and undergoes various
stages of quality control before being placed in its box. The
B737-900 Continental model plane is perfect as an addition to a
growing collection or as an exquisite gift to a loved one. Each
B737-900 Continental model plane will surely be
appreciated by aviation enthusiasts and hobbyists for it is truly a
work of art that relives their memory of the actual Boeing 737-900.
B737-900 Continental History:
Boeing later introduced the 737-900, the longest variant to date.
The 737-900 retains the same exit configuration of the 737-800,
seating capacity is limited to 177 seats in two classes and it also
retains the MTOW and fuel capacity as the 737-800, trading range for
payload.
The newest member of the Next Generation 737 airplane family is
the Boeing 737-900ER. It is a short-to-medium-range twinjet that
increases the capability of the Next-Generation 737 family. The
737-900 was launched on July 18, 2005 with an order for 30 airplanes
from Indonesia's Lion Air. Its first delivery to Lion air is
scheduled on 2007. Compared to the older 737-900, the 737-900ER can
carry 26 more passengers and fly about 500 nautical miles farther.
The 737-900 features a dual paint scheme that combines the Lion
Air lion on the vertical stabilizer and the Boeing livery colors on
the fuselage. It is also powered by CFM56-7 engines produced by
CFMI. The engines complied with the strict international noise
restrictions.
The 737-900 incorporates the same advanced-technology wing design
that helps increase fuel capacity and efficiency. It also shares the
same performance attributes of the other Next-Generation 737 models
such as reliability, low maintenance and operating costs and
state-of-the-art flight deck systems such as Head-Up Display (HUD),
Global Positioning Landing System and Vertical Situation Display.
By 2013, Lion Air will be ordering 122 737-900ERs to be
delivered.
