The A340-300 is a long range widebody airliner.
In March 1993, A340-300 entered service with Air France and
Lufthansa. On October 25, 1991, the initial version of the
A340-300 had made its first flight.
The A340-300 has the same fuselage length as the A330-300.
It has a typical airline operating weight with 295 passengers and
reserves 12,415 km. It has flight crew of two and has a
typical three class accommodation for 303 or 335 in two classes.
The A340-300 incorporates four 138.8 kN CFM International CFM56-5C
or 145 kN CFM56-5C3 turbofans. In April 1996, the first
A340-300Es were delivered to Singapore Airlines.
