TH-67 Creek , US Army Trainer History:
The TH-67 Creek, built by Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., is a
state-of-the-art helicopter used for initial entry rotary wing
training. It is a three-seat, single engine, training helicopter
with two main rotor blades, a variant of the Bell 206B-3 helicopter.
It entered service in 1995, replacing the UH-1H Iroquois (Huey).
The TH-67 is special because it was bought “off the shelfâ€
rather than being designed to a military specification. Since it is
not built to military standards, it has the fittings and accessories
of a commercial craft, including the luxury of air conditioning.
Compared to the UH-1H, the TH-67 is smaller, sleeker, quieter, and
less intimidating for students.
